Loyalty app for bakeries

They come in every morning. Do they know you notice?

Your own app under your bakery’s name. Customers earn points with every purchase, and you can message them when you’ve baked something extra that morning. Live in 2–3 weeks.

The problem

Bakeries have the most loyal customers of any business. And the fewest tools to keep them.

A coffee shop sees a regular twice a week. Your regulars come in five times. That’s over two hundred visits a year — and you know nothing about them.

Loyalty is taken for granted

Customers come out of habit and convenience. That’s exactly why you lose them the moment a bakery opens a block closer — nothing ties them to you except the bread.

Mornings are no time for punch cards

The line is long and people are rushing to work. Stamping a card for every roll is a delay nobody can afford.

You don’t know who stopped coming

One of a hundred regulars disappears and you don’t notice. Twenty disappear and you notice it in revenue — not by name.

How it works

One second at checkout, nothing more

Step 1

Customers download your app

Under your bakery’s name, with your logo. Not “Vernio,” not an app shared with other businesses.

Step 2

They show a code at checkout

You scan it with a phone or tablet. It’s faster than digging for a card in a wallet and doesn’t hold up the morning line.

Step 3

Points add up on their own

Customers see in the app how close they are. You see who comes regularly and who dropped off.

Rewards

Rewards that work for daily regulars

A bakery plays by different rules than a coffee shop: the cycle has to be shorter and the reward smaller. A customer who comes daily hits their tenth visit in two weeks — and if all that waits is “the tenth loaf free,” it stops feeling like a reward and starts feeling like an entitlement.

Fifth visit — a free coffee with your pastry

A short cycle customers reach within a week. It costs you little and teaches them to grab a coffee in the morning too — permanently raising your average ticket.

Tenth visit — a cake or a loaf of sweet bread

A bigger reward that also means something. Ideal for getting customers to try things they don’t usually buy.

Twentieth visit — 20% off morning pastries

A long-term reward for the people who truly come in every day. It’s not a gift, it’s recognition — and that’s exactly how a loyal customer sees it.

The objection

“They come in every day anyway — why reward them?”

That’s the most common objection we hear from bakeries, and there’s a hidden mistake in it.

Rewards aren’t about getting customers to come — they’d come anyway. They’re about making sure they don’t leave when they get a reason to. And that reason will come: a new bakery opens on their way to work, the grocery store starts baking fresh, their commute changes.

At that moment, one thing decides it — whether they have something in progress with you. A customer two visits away from a reward picks you. A customer with nothing going on picks whatever’s closer.

And there’s a second thing a punch card will never give you: when you bake something extra in the morning, you can tell hundreds of people at once. Twenty croissants left over? One notification at 2:30 and they’re gone by closing. That’s not a loyalty program, that’s sales.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is it really my app, or a shared one?

Yours. Your own name, logo and colors, listed on its own in the App Store and Google Play.

Do I need a new POS or card reader?

No. The phone or tablet you already have is enough.

Won’t it slow down the morning line?

No. Scanning a QR code is faster than stamping a card, and much faster than digging for one in a wallet. Staff keep a phone or tablet at the register.

Can I reward by spend instead of number of visits?

Yes. You can award points per visit or by purchase amount — you set it yourself in the admin.

Would it work across multiple locations?

Yes. Customers earn points across all your locations in one app.

Can I change the rewards myself?

Yes. You set rewards, point values, copy and colors in the admin, without us. Changes show up in the app instantly.

How long until my app is in the store?

Typically 2 to 3 weeks from signing, including 1 to 7 days for App Store and Google Play review.

Who owns my customer data?

You do. We can export your customer database any time, and we never use it for anything else.
